Uzbekistan is US Level 1 and the FCDO lists no areas it advises against, though carrying your passport is a legal requirement and police check it often. Black travel blogger Ciara Johnson described being followed by people wanting photos, with mostly friendly reactions, but said the intent behind the attention was often unclear. The Black community is very small, and there is little formal evidence on discrimination.
