Hi, I'm Nasiru.
I've always loved travelling. From relaxing beach holidays and city breaks to exploring new cultures and meeting people from around the world, travel has given me some of my best memories. But as a Black traveller, it has also exposed me to experiences that many travel guides never talk about.
None of these experiences ruined my love for travel, but they did make me realise something important: Black travellers often have a very different travel experience, yet there was no single place where we could easily share, discover, and learn from each other's stories.
That's why I created this platform.
I wanted to build a space where Black travellers could openly share both their good and bad experiences anywhere in the world. A place where someone planning a trip could learn about the realities of a destination before they arrive. A place where amazing, welcoming destinations can be celebrated, while experiences involving racism, discrimination, harassment, profiling, or exclusion can be honestly discussed.
Whether you're researching a country, city, beach resort, hotel, restaurant, neighbourhood, attraction, or hidden gem, this platform is designed to bring together real experiences from real Black travellers. Through reviews, videos, blogs, ratings, warnings, and discussions, we're creating the world's largest community-driven travel intelligence platform for Black travellers.
"Travel should be about adventure, freedom, and creating memories โ not wondering how you'll be treated because of the colour of your skin."
My hope is that this platform helps Black travellers explore the world with greater confidence, make informed decisions, and support one another through shared knowledge and experiences.
From beaches and city breaks to the moon and back, every experience matters.
Welcome to the community. โ๐พ
