Why this rating
Slovenia is a US Level 1 country with low crime; mountain accidents are the main hazard. ECRI (2025) cited research from 2020–2023 identifying persons of African descent as the main targets of hate speech, mostly online, and noted that racist motives in crimes are not recorded, so the scale of offline incidents is unclear. The Black community is very small and credible Black traveller accounts are scarce, so confidence is low.
