Why this rating
The US rates Seychelles Level 1 and the FCDO describes crime as generally non-violent. Creoles of mixed, largely African, ancestry make up about 92% of the population, and Travel Noire listed it among destinations welcoming to Black travellers. However, a Black American influencer reported in 2022 that her party was singled out at immigration while white travellers were treated better; this is a single account.
