FCDO only advises against travel within 50km of the Central African Republic border, and the US rates the country Level 2 mainly for violent crime. Black visitors are unlikely to face racial hostility in a majority-Black country, but FCDO notes opportunistic crime targeting foreigners in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire and frequent vehicle checkpoints. Black-traveller accounts are scarce.
