Why this rating
The FCDO advises against all travel to parts of Pakistan, including Balochistan, most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and areas near the Afghan and Indian borders, but not the whole country; the US rates it Level 3. Pakistan's Afro-descendant Sheedi community (roughly 250,000 by a middle estimate) faces documented stigma linked to skin colour, though a Black American traveller writing for Travel Noire (2025) described exceptional hospitality. Evidence on Black visitors specifically is limited.
