Why this rating
The FCDO has no country-wide or regional travel warning for Nepal, currently flagging flooding in Rasuwa and the China border area; the US rates it Level 2. The September 2025 Gen Z protests left dozens dead, with Kathmandu Post reporting 45 later declared martyrs. Nepal is heavily visited by trekkers, but there is no visible Black community and little credible reporting on Black visitors, so confidence is low.
