Eritrea's population is majority-Black and FCDO only advises against travel within 25km of land borders, but visitors need government permits to leave Asmara. The US (Level 2) warns that US citizens, including dual Eritrean nationals, have been detained without charge and that consular access is routinely blocked. Evidence on Black travellers' experience specifically is thin.
