Why this rating
FCDO advises against all travel to the whole of Burkina Faso because of the threat of terrorist attacks and kidnap and an unstable political situation, and the US rates it Level 4. As a majority-Black country, race is not the main concern for Black visitors, but the security situation overrides everything else. There is no British Embassy in-country.
